Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary therapy that uses different points on the feet to treat organs or entire systems throughout the body. Similar to the principals of acupuncture where pressure points correspond with specific areas of the body, reflexology is used by millions of people throughout the world in order to treat a variety of conditions that include stress, anxiety, asthma, headaches, kidney function and cardiovascular issues.

Thought to have its roots in ancient Egypt from as early as 2330BC, the practice of reflexology is thought to help stimulate the various nerve endings within the feet before travelling through the nervous system and spinal cord to the areas of the body that require treatment.

Unlike conventional medicine, reflexology works on any underlying issues, helping to encourage the bodies’ own innate healing process. Patients often describe the treatment as a wonderfully relaxing and soothing form of therapy
