“It is not just a massage. When I start reading the body a healing process begins.”
The Elysian Centre is delighted to welcome a very special practitioner for three days in August, who will offer his own unique style of healing massage.
Maximiano Arthur Fernandes is known to his followers as Arthur. When Arthur was only 14, a German doctor recognised this young Goan man’s gift and taught him a particular form of healing massage. He learned how the body worked; that if one muscle is damaged or injured then the lymph gets blocked, how the mind can damage the body with stress and most importantly, how to read the body. After being with his tutor for over 2 years, Arthur then trained in traditional Indian massage in Mumbai.
Over the next few years Arthur worked in Goa with private clients and worked side by side with a Goan doctor, dealing with patients with chronic pain. He also treated injuries for the Goa football team and then worked in the same capacity for the Goa cricket team. He was selected to be masseur for the Indian women’s cricket team and created a fitness program.
Arthur is now living in Britain and has been working with homeopath Emma Litchfield in the Scottish Borders, as well as private clients in Wiltshire, East Sussex and Kent. He has a unique way of working and each massage will be tailored to the needs of the client.
Arthur will be working at the Elysian Centre on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of August. For more information, and to book a consultation, contact Arthur directly on 07459 796241 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
